India will offer visa-on-arrival (VOA) to South Korean tourists at major airports starting next week, the Indian Embassy in Seoul announced yesterday.

The decision was made in January at South Korean President Park Geun-hye‘s state visit to India.

Korean visitors will be able to apply for a single entry tourist visa available for one month on arrival at India’s Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi airports.

The latest move comes as India decided to extend visas to tourists to boost its tourism industry.
