Funerals held for Sewol ferry victims

A series of funerals were held for 11 high school students and one crew member who died as a result of the Sewol ferry sinking last week.

“How could such a tragedy happen?” a weeping relative of one student said during the victim‘s funeral at Korea University Ansan Hospital.

As of 9 a.m. on April 23, the death toll was 128.
