Daegu's Dalseo-gu to extend dog park hours into evening this summer

Dalseo-gu in Daegu will open its dog park for evening hours from June 9 through Sept. 30, the district announced Monday.

The Dalseo dog park drew positive feedback from visitors during a two-month evening pilot program that ran from August to September last year.

Building on that response, the extended hours will run on weekdays — Tuesday through Friday — with the park staying open until 9 p.m., up from the previous 6 p.m. closing time. Evening hours will not be offered on weekends or holidays, and may be canceled in the event of severe weather.

Visitors are encouraged to check the Dalseo dog park website before heading out to confirm operating hours.

"We will continue to expand programs and convenience services to create a more pet-friendly environment and improve visitor satisfaction," Dalseo-gu District Chief Lee Tae-hoon said.
