KB Securities holds seminar for 100 corporate pension managers
Event covers 2027 economic outlook, mandatory pension rules and fund-type regime
KB Securities held a retirement pension seminar for about 100 corporate pension managers at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, on Thursday, the company said Friday.
The seminar was designed to help corporate managers keep pace with changes in the pension system and financial markets, offering practical information on reserve management and administration. Topics ranged from the economic outlook and labor issues to defined-benefit reserve management, defined-contribution product operations and pension-related taxation.
The opening session featured KB Financial's management research institute, which examined domestic and international economic trends and key variables under the theme "2027 Economic Outlook." A follow-up session, "Retirement Pension System Issue Check," looked at how companies should respond to major regulatory shifts, including discussions on mandatory retirement pension enrollment and the introduction of a fund-type pension regime.
The second half focused on pension management and taxation. KB Asset Management presented market trends and reserve management strategies under the theme "Retirement Pension Market Changes and DB Reserve Management," while KB Securities outlined pension tax-saving measures and product management considerations in a session titled "Pension Tax Efficiency and DC Product Management."
"The retirement pension market is at a critical turning point amid institutional changes and an increasingly complex regulatory environment," KB Securities CEO Lee Hong-gu said. "Through this event, we aim to become a reliable retirement pension partner that offers differentiated asset management capabilities, professional consulting and digital-based customer service."
KB Securities has also been conducting corporate social responsibility activities abroad to improve educational environments. The company said it completed its "Overseas Rainbow Classroom" project Monday, installing an outdoor library and a counseling room and renovating an aging science classroom at Lac Vien Middle School in Hai Phong, Vietnam. On Oct. 13, a company delegation visited the University of Economics and Business under Vietnam National University, Hanoi, to present scholarships.
