Up to 2 million won ($1,330) available per company for domestic and international exhibition participation; five SMEs already selected
Seoul's Dobong-gu district office is supporting local small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners in participating in domestic and international trade shows and exhibitions.
The initiative aims to help businesses open new markets and strengthen their competitiveness.
Last year, the district selected five companies — including the Dobong Sock Manufacturers Association, Univis Co. and Onz's Own — and supported their participation in various exhibitions and trade fairs.
The Dobong Sock Manufacturers Association showcased its products at the LA Korean Festival, while Univis presented lighting devices at the Busan International Railway Technology Industry Exhibition. Onz's Own participated in the 7th AI Festa, where it displayed AI software and related products.
This year, the district accepted applications from April through May and selected a final five companies, evaluating candidates on the suitability of their exhibition items, technological competitiveness and the specificity of their marketing plans.
The five selected companies are Geurimchaekbang Morandoran, Mama's Dream Social Cooperative, Studio Plue, All That Beauty and Pullssi Omics Co. Each will receive booth rental subsidies of up to 2 million won ($1,330) for participation in domestic or international exhibitions and trade fairs.
The district said it expects the selected companies to use their exhibition appearances to promote their products and identify new business partners.
