'Check-in Summer' event runs June 3–21
Lotte Department Store is partnering with travel platform NOL to hold a summer festival called "Check-in Summer" from June 3 through June 21.
The event was designed to meet growing demand from consumers looking to get a head start on summer vacation plans amid an early heat wave. The retailer said it focused on delivering practical benefits to both domestic and international travelers.
Through a cross-promotional tie-up with NOL, both companies will offer exclusive deals on their respective apps. The Lotte Department Store app will provide discount coupons for accommodations and flights, while the NOL app will offer coupons for food and beverage outlets at Lotte Department Store locations.
In-store benefits are also available. Customers who spend 100,000 won ($67) or more on a single brand will receive a NOL points coupon worth 10,000 won ($7), available in limited quantities.
A "summer vacation essentials" sale will feature discounted products across popular categories including swimwear, travel goods, sunglasses and sun-care cosmetics. Depending on the location, more than 50 brands — including Nike Swim and Arena — will participate, offering discounts of up to 70 percent on roughly 140 vacation items.
Purchase benefits are structured in two phases. During the first phase, June 3–7, a co-branded credit card promotion will run. Customers who spend 200,000 won ($133) or more on a single brand at the department store will receive Lotte gift certificates worth 7 percent of their purchase.
The second phase, June 12–21, centers on a "core vacation product" promotion. Customers who spend 200,000 won ($133) or more on a single brand across fashion, sports, leisure and accessories categories will receive a 5 percent discount.
