The Korea Institute of Research and Development for Professional Human Resources announced Sunday that it has relaunched its "Future Teaching and Learning Trends Archive," a blog-style platform designed to give anyone quick and easy access to domestic and international trends in advanced education.
The revamp comes as the rise of generative AI and other digital tools accelerates a broader shift in the education paradigm, driving rapid innovation across the learner experience. Timely dissemination of the latest edtech trends and teaching and learning information — and connecting that knowledge to actual classroom practice — has become increasingly important.
Human resources development managers are calling for more sophisticated teaching and learning programs that integrate advanced technology, reflecting the sweeping changes brought on by the generative AI era.
KIRD has operated the archive since last year, providing ongoing access to global trend data covering AI and other edtech developments so that education managers can keep pace with change. Last year, the archive drew 6,751 annual visitors and earned a user satisfaction score of 4.3 out of 5, reflecting strong attention and positive response from education professionals.
This year, KIRD is expanding the archive's service to include instructors and will introduce a new "Teaching and Learning Know-How" section featuring hands-on experience with generative AI in the classroom.
KIRD is also converting its monthly research note, "Future Teaching and Learning Trends Brief" — a curated summary of key articles — from PDF to online channels including a webzine and podcast, to improve accessibility for users.
"The transformation and digitalization of the education paradigm will continue to accelerate with the emergence of generative AI," KIRD President Bae Tae-min said. "Drawing on the institute's expertise, we will work to lead the digital transformation and innovation of the science and technology education sector by making the latest teaching and learning information easy to find and use."
