TWICE's Dahyun donates 30 million won to leukemia patients on her birthday

TWICE member Dahyun donated 30 million won ($20,000) to mark her birthday.

According to her agency JYP Entertainment, Dahyun presented the donation to the Community Chest of Korea's Ulsan chapter on May 28, her birthday.

The funds will go toward covering medical expenses and providing support for leukemia patients in the Ulsan area who face financial difficulties affording treatment.

"On my birthday, I wanted to share the love I've received," Dahyun said through her agency. "I hope this small gesture brings even a little strength and comfort to those undergoing treatment."

Dahyun has consistently given back over the years. In 2020, she donated 50 million won to a special fundraising drive for COVID-19 relief. In 2023, she joined her TWICE bandmates in contributing 200 million won to support children and families affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

Last year, she donated another 50 million won to aid residents displaced by wildfires in Ulju-gun, Ulsan, and was named a member of "Ulsan Honor Society," a group of major individual donors recognized by the Community Chest of Korea's Ulsan chapter.

Dahyun debuted with TWICE in 2015 and has remained active ever since, contributing to hit songs including "TT," "Cheer Up," "Fancy" and "What Is Love?"
