She is survived by her son-in-law Kim Hee-gyeom, first administrative vice governor of Gyeonggi Province and former director general of the National Disaster and Safety Management Headquarters at the Ministry of Interior and Safety. Kim Young-sin, former head of the publications bureau at Yonhap News Agency and former member of the National Election Commission, died June 1 at Korea University Anam Hospital in Seoul. She is survived by her sons Yang Seok-yong, director at S&T Systems; Yang Jun-yong, chief executive of Kimia Vision; and Yang Ji-yong of Nico BNC.
