Hanssol PNS wins top GS rating for AI-enabled manufacturing software

Hanssol PNS said Thursday its manufacturing execution system I'MFACTO MES v2.0 has received a Grade 1 GS (Good Software) certification from the Korea Testing Laboratory.

The GS certification is a nationally recognized software quality rating system based on the ISO/IEC 25051 international standard, evaluating products on functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency and maintainability. Grade 1 is the highest rating available under the system.

I'MFACTO MES v2.0 is an IT solution designed to support production management on the manufacturing floor. It collects real-time process data from the shop floor to help improve production efficiency, streamline inventory operations and enhance product quality.

The certification comes amid growing demand for digital transformation and AI transformation in the manufacturing sector. MES platforms are widely regarded as core systems for managing production planning, process, equipment, quality and inventory data on-site. The industry has recently seen a shift beyond basic production management, with process data analytics and AI-based workflow support increasingly integrated into such systems.

Hanssol PNS structured I'MFACTO MES v2.0 around a modular architecture that separates standard functions from specialized ones. By distinguishing features common to all manufacturing environments from those specific to particular industries, the system can be deployed across a range of sectors including chemicals, semiconductors, electronic components and food production.

The system also supports data integration with equipment already in use on the factory floor through EIS, an equipment interface module that connects shop-floor machinery and systems to collect and manage process data.

Hanssol PNS also enhanced ease of use by equipping I'MFACTO MES v2.0 with a Visual Modeler feature. Users can configure production process standards and other reference information directly on screen without any coding.

The system also offers an AI work environment. When used alongside I'MFACTO AI Atlas Lens, Hanssol PNS's AI interface, users can query and analyze process data through an AI agent and carry out manufacturing execution tasks.
