Gwangjin-gu (district mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold the "2026 Residents' Health Promotion Campaign" at the rear gate of Children's Grand Park on Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., aiming to help residents adopt healthier lifestyles and raise awareness of public health center programs.
The campaign targets residents and day-trippers visiting Children's Grand Park ahead of the weekend. Organizers designed the event to boost participation in the district's health promotion programs by offering on-site health screenings and practical health information.
To deliver integrated health services effectively, 18 specialists from three divisions of the Gwangjin-gu Public Health Center — the Health Policy Division, Health Management Division, and Medical Services Division — will be deployed on-site.
Campaign booths will be organized into three themed zones so visitors can easily find the services they need: a metabolic syndrome management and infectious disease prevention zone, a healthy lifestyle practice zone, and a maternal and child health and national vaccination zone.
A range of hands-on programs will also be available for residents to assess their health from multiple angles, including blood pressure and carbon monoxide (CO) measurement, distribution of smoking cessation aids, an alcohol dependency (AUDIT-K) test, a basic fitness assessment covering grip strength and calf circumference, and a moderate-intensity brisk walking program.
"This campaign will be a meaningful opportunity to go directly to Children's Grand Park — a beloved gathering spot for our residents — and highlight the importance of managing one's health," district mayor Kim said. "I hope many residents will take part, check their health status, and take advantage of the wide range of free health programs offered by the public health center."
