Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang to arrive in South Korea on Friday for meetings with top business leaders

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang will arrive in South Korea on Friday for a series of meetings with the country's top business leaders.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Nvidia said Huang is scheduled to land at Gimpo Airport at around 1 p.m. He is expected to make brief remarks outside the terminal before heading into Seoul for the meetings.

The visit is Huang's first trip to South Korea in about seven months. His last visit was in late October, when he met Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong and Hyundai Motor Co Chairman Euisun Chung at Kkanbul Chicken in Samseong-dong, Seoul. On Friday, Huang is expected to hold a so-called 'samso' gathering — featuring samgyeopsal and soju — at a restaurant near Seongsu-dong, though the venue could shift to the Hongdae or Euljiro area, according to sources.

SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, Hyundai Motor Chairman Euisun Chung, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin are expected to attend.

The visit comes amid growing discussions between Nvidia and South Korean companies on cooperation in AI semiconductors, physical AI, robotics and cloud infrastructure.

During his stay, Huang is expected to meet with executives from major South Korean conglomerates as well as startups to explore potential partnerships in semiconductors, AI and robotics.
