LG Electronics announced Thursday it will run its summer energy-saving campaign, the "ThinQ 26 Challenge," for the third consecutive year, in partnership with the Korea Energy Agency.
The campaign encourages users to set their air conditioners to 26 degrees Celsius, the temperature recommended by the government. Launched in 2024, it is now entering its third season.
Over the past two years, the campaign has drawn a cumulative 129,000 participants. Estimated electricity savings total approximately 2.83 million kilowatt-hours — enough to power around 9,200 four-person urban households for a month, based on the average monthly consumption of 307 kilowatt-hours per household.
