12-week program covering court auction basics through hands-on investment strategy; first 30 applicants per session accepted — free public lecture at Nowon Cultural Center on June 13 at 11 a.m.
Nowon Cultural Center is launching a real estate court auction education program — "Easy Real Estate Auction Investment" — open to office workers, university students and local residents, in line with growing public interest in real estate auction investment.
The course is designed as an introductory-to-practical program accessible to complete beginners as well as hands-on buyers and investors seeking to build systematic investment knowledge. It is structured to teach the core principles and investment strategies of court auctions, which have drawn increasing attention as a personal finance tool, in a clear and organized way.
Classes run for 12 weeks from July 1 through Sept. 30. Daytime sessions are held every Monday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and evening sessions every Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The program takes place at Nowon Cultural Center, near Exit 4 of Gongreung Station. Enrollment is limited to 30 participants per session on a first-come, first-served basis. Tuition for the full 12-week course is 150,000 won (approximately $98), offering professional-grade instruction at a comparatively affordable price.
The course will be taught by Professor Kim Byung-jin, a leading authority on real estate auctions in South Korea. Kim has led the real estate auction specialist program at Korea University's Future Education Institute for 20 consecutive years and currently serves as lead professor of the real estate auction CEO executive program at Hanyang University's industry-academia-research center.
The curriculum will cover the key topics essential to auction investment: an overview of the auction regime, court auction procedures, the basics of rights analysis, the lease protection law, winning bids and eviction, and analysis of real investment cases.
The course is also structured around actual case studies so that participants can develop a solid understanding of the structure and procedures of court auctions and sharpen their investment judgment.
The program is open to anyone who wants to learn about real estate auctions for the first time, those who wish to build their skills through a systematic study of auction fundamentals, investors looking to participate in court auctions, and professionals in real estate-related fields — including licensed real estate agents, appraisers, tax accountants, certified public accountants and bank employees — as well as business owners.
"Real estate auctions are a prime personal finance tool, but they are a field that absolutely requires rights analysis and a solid grasp of the law," Kim said. "Through this course, I aim to give participants a precise understanding of the basic principles of auctions and, through real case studies, help them build the practical judgment and capabilities needed to succeed in court auctions."
