Nvidia's Jensen Huang visits T1 base camp, receives signed jersey from Faker

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang received a hand-signed jersey from T1 esports star Lee Sang-hyeok, better known by his in-game name "Faker," during a visit to the team's Seoul facility on Friday.

Huang made the T1 Base Camp in Mapo-gu, Seoul, his first stop on his visit to South Korea, where he met Lee and other members of T1's League of Legends roster.

Lee signed a white baseball-style jersey bearing the number 1 and presented it to Huang, who held it up with a broad smile.

During a group photo session, Huang mimicked the signature poses of each player — including Faker's iconic "shush" gesture, a finger pressed to the lips, and the number "3" pose favored by player Moon Hyeon-jun, known as "Oner."

The visit came months after Huang sent T1's League of Legends Champions Korea squad his own hand-signed jerseys in April. At the time, T1 posted on its official social media accounts to thank Huang, writing that "Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang sent hand-signed jerseys to the T1 LCK roster" and expressing "deep gratitude."

Faker, along with teammates Keria, Peyz, Oner and Doran, posed for photos holding the jerseys.

Huang had signed a black jersey prominently featuring the logo of Nvidia's graphics card brand GeForce, with his signature in white lettering.

At the time, some online commenters joked that Faker should be the one signing a jersey for Huang — a wish that came true Friday.

The two had previously shared a stage in October last year at Nvidia's GeForce Gamer Festival at COEX in Gangnam, Seoul — an event dubbed the "Gganbu meeting" — alongside Samsung Electronics Executive Chairman Lee Jae-yong and Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung, where Huang led the crowd in chanting "Faker, Faker, Faker." T1 went on to win the League of Legends World Championship for three consecutive years.

Huang also presented Lee with a personally signed Nvidia RTX 5090 graphics card at the event.

Huang asked Faker how many hours a day he practices and what graphics card he uses. When Lee replied that he trains 10 hours a day, Huang expressed visible surprise.

Huang called South Korea "the birthplace of esports," recalling that StarCraft was the dominant game when he first visited the country. "Korea created esports, and it created the culture of watching esports together," he said.

He added that "Korea has held a special place in my heart for a long time."

The event also featured giveaways of the RTX Spark — an AI PC Nvidia unveiled this week at Computex 2026, Asia's largest IT trade show, in Taipei, Taiwan — as well as the RTX 5090. More than 500 people gathered outside, according to police estimates, to catch a glimpse of Huang and Faker.
