Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, well known for his love of fried chicken, is set for another informal dinner meeting in Seoul — this time with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won. Heads of key SK affiliates, including SK Hynix and SK Telecom, are also expected to attend.
Huang and Chey are scheduled to meet at around 7 p.m. Sunday at a Kkanbuchicken store in Samsung-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, according to industry sources.
The restaurant is the same venue where Huang met Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong and Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung during his visit to South Korea last October, in what became widely known as the "Kkanbu meeting."
Earlier Sunday, Huang is set to attend a ceremonial first-pitch event at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul at 5 p.m. before heading to the dinner.
Sunday's meeting will be Huang's second sit-down with Chey during the current visit. On Friday, the first day of his trip, Huang joined Chey, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin for an informal gathering near Hongik University Station in Seoul.
The group later moved to a nearby BBQ franchise for a second round of fried chicken.
Industry watchers expect Huang and Chey to discuss key areas of cooperation between their companies, including AI semiconductors, high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and AI data centers.
