LX Pantos provides new summer work uniforms to partner companies in push for shared growth

LX Pantos announced Tuesday it will supply new work uniforms and safety gear to its partner companies to prevent heat-related illness during the peak summer months.

The company said the initiative aims to protect the health of logistics field workers and foster a prevention-focused safety culture built on shared growth with its partners. About 3,000 field workers across 100 partner companies are eligible for the support.

The new uniform is a short-sleeved collared T-shirt made from lightweight fabric with breathability and moisture-wicking, quick-dry properties. Fluorescent orange coloring and reflective strips have been added to improve worker visibility on site.

Previously, workers had to wear a separate safety vest over their work clothes, adding to heat discomfort and the burden of layering. The new uniform integrates the functions of a safety vest directly into the garment, reducing that burden and improving comfort during work.

In addition, the company will distribute safety supplies including electrolyte glucose tablets, cooling arm sleeves, cooling towels and heat-index thermometers to help workers manage hydration, electrolyte levels, body temperature, and on-site temperature and humidity conditions.

"The risk to health from extreme heat grows significantly at logistics sites during the hottest months, making it essential to take extra care in preventing heat-related illness," an LX Pantos official said. "We will continue to do our utmost to work alongside our partners and create a safe, comfortable working environment."

LX Pantos is a global integrated logistics company under the LX Group. Since its founding in 1977, it has built operations spanning maritime, air, land and rail freight, as well as warehousing, customs clearance and project cargo services.
