Singer Kim Yun-seol of 'Singer Again 4' dies at 27

Kim Yun-seol, a singer who appeared on JTBC's competition program "Singer Again 4," has died at 27.

According to the music industry, Kim died Sunday, and a funeral service was held Tuesday. She was laid to rest at Yeongsaengwon cemetery in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.

News of her death spread after an acquaintance posted on Instagram that "Seol has gone to heaven."

As the news circulated on social media, friends and acquaintances who knew her expressed their grief online.

Kim made her debut in 2013 with the single "Man and Woman 2013" and went on to win Mnet's talent show "Boys Kids." She later appeared on "Voice Korea 2020" and "I Can See Your Voice 7." Most recently, she competed on "Singer Again 4," which aired in October last year, advancing past the first round as Singer No. 6.

In her final Instagram post last month, Kim wrote: "I am singing again under my own name. I hope that wherever my songs reach, a little happiness reaches there too."
