iComponent said Monday it has decided to invest 5.5 billion won (about $3.56 million) in a new facility, according to a regulatory filing.
The investment represents 12.4 percent of the company's equity capital and is set to run through Feb. 23, 2027.
The company said the facility scale-up is intended "to meet growing market demand for barrier films used in displays and solar cells."
