'A truly remarkable week': Nvidia says South Korea is more than a partner after Jensen Huang's visit

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has concluded his visit to South Korea, with the company calling it "a truly remarkable week" and underscoring the importance of its relationship with the country.

Nvidia said Tuesday on its official social media accounts that the week had been "truly remarkable," adding that everything from Huang's arrival at Gimpo Airport to the "Korea AI Ecosystem Reception" had amounted to more than a series of meetings — it was "a time spent building the future together."

Huang arrived Friday at the Seoul Gimpo Business Aviation Center in Gangseo-gu after completing a schedule in Taiwan.

Nvidia highlighted a dinner with top Korean business leaders — tagging LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin and SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won in the post.

The company also recounted a surprise visit to T1's base camp with League of Legends star Faker, an RTX Spark announcement with Riot Games, two stops at PC bang venues, an RTX Spark demo session, and a lunch Huang hosted for gamers at the scene.

Also mentioned were a ceremonial first pitch at Jamsil Baseball Stadium and a "Build-a-Claw" event at Seoul National University with the next generation of AI builders.

On its relationship with South Korea, Nvidia said the country is "not just a partner" but "a co-architect of the future to come."

Huang departed Tuesday after wrapping up his five-day itinerary in South Korea.

Speaking to reporters just before leaving through the Seoul Gimpo Business Aviation Center, he said the reception had been outstanding and that both he and his family had felt genuinely welcomed.

"I felt grateful and appreciative, and I am very excited about the announcements we made," he said, adding that he felt "strongly motivated and thrilled to be building the future together with Korea."

Huang also touched on the partnerships announced with South Korean companies, including SK Hynix, saying the meetings had gone well and the deals struck were strong.

He said Nvidia had signed a multi-year partnership with SK Hynix to expand business and diversify cooperation, and had also concluded separate AI cloud partnerships with Naver and SK Telecom.
