Lotte Cinema turns Busan theater into overnight haven for BTS fans

Lotte Cinema is hosting special late-night screenings for BTS fans — known as ARMYs — traveling to Busan for the group's concerts at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on Friday and Saturday.

The cinema chain announced Tuesday it will hold "Purple Night in Busan" at its Busan Main branch in Busanjin-gu on both nights, offering fans a safe and comfortable place to spend the late hours during their visit.

The event is designed to let fans extend the concert experience while enjoying a distinctive night out at the cinema together.

Three films will screen starting at midnight: "The Box" by director Hirokazu Kore-eda, "Disclosure Day" by Steven Spielberg, and "The Colony" by Yeon Sang-ho, the last in an English-subtitled version.

After the screenings, guests can relax in Lotte Cinema's recliner seats until 7 a.m. The cinema will also hand out purple earplugs and heated eye masks to help audiences rest comfortably.

"We planned these late-night screenings so that fans who have come to Busan for BTS can stay and unwind more comfortably," a Lotte Cinema official said. "By making use of the theater's comfortable facilities, we hope to offer real convenience while giving fans a meaningful space to share the afterglow of the concert together."
