Star Dream Cruises launches World Cup program aboard Genting Dream

Global cruise line Star Dream Cruises said it will run a series of onboard event programs throughout June aboard the Genting Dream, sailing from Singapore, to mark the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The lineup spans competitive events for adults — a kickoff party, a quiz and challenge session, and a football tournament — as well as dedicated programs for children and families, including arts and crafts activities, with content designed for all generations to enjoy together.

The kickoff party, which opens the festivities, will be held at the main pool of the Genting Dream. Passengers are welcome to attend in their favorite team's jersey. The event will also feature live performances, photo zones and team cheering activities.

The quiz and challenge event, held in the ship's lobby, will test participants on iconic World Cup moments and team tactics through quizzes and challenges. Both individual and team formats will be available, with varying difficulty levels to ensure broad participation. The winning team will receive a special commemorative gift, and all participants will take home a small prize.

The football tournament will pit passengers against one another in group-stage and knockout-format matches on deck. Professional sports staff will oversee the games, and participants can either register as a team in advance or use a team-assignment service for individual entrants. The winning team will receive a special trophy and onboard privileges.

A dedicated program for younger passengers will also be available. The mini aqua football tournament, held at the kids' pool, is a water sports activity in which children kick a ball and score goals in the water. Dedicated children's sports staff will run the matches, and every participating child will receive a commemorative medal.

An arts and crafts program for children and families will round out the offering, with three activities: making a personalized photo frame, painting a miniature trophy in one's own colors, and assembling a three-dimensional football using bead craft.
