Intensive short-course programs including OPIc and TOEIC run throughout July, open to job-seeking youth aged 19 to 45
Seoul's Dobong-gu district is launching intensive OPIc and TOEIC short courses throughout July to sharpen the job-market edge of local youth ahead of the second-half hiring season.
A growing number of companies now require minimum language proficiency scores as a mandatory or preferred condition in their hiring processes, making a qualifying language score essential for job seekers.
In response, the district has designed a fast-track program featuring daily classes over roughly one week, allowing youth who face time and financial pressures during their job search to prepare for the exams efficiently.
The OPIc course runs daily from July 6 to July 11 at the Dobong District Office seminar room. To accommodate participants' schedules, classes are offered in two sessions — a morning session (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and an afternoon session (1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.) — with enrollment capped at 10 per session.
The TOEIC course runs on weekday afternoons (1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.) from July 20 to July 28 at the Changdong Ourene Grand Hall, with 50 seats available.
Both courses are open to job-seeking youth aged 19 to 45 who live or are active in Dobong-gu. Applications are accepted via the QR code on the promotional poster and must be submitted no later than seven days before each course begins.
