Inha University Graduate School opens Department of Urban Design Landscape Architecture and Department of Urban Landscape Architecture, accepting applications for 2026
Incheon has its first graduate-level landscape architecture program, established at Inha University.
Inha University announced Wednesday that its graduate school has created two new departments — the Department of Urban Design Landscape Architecture and the contract-based Department of Urban Landscape Architecture — and is now accepting applications for the first cohort of the second semester of the 2026 academic year.
The program offers master's, doctoral, and integrated master's-doctoral tracks. Applications will be accepted from June 15 through June 26.
The launch marks a significant milestone as the first graduate-level landscape architecture program in the Incheon region.
Incheon has long pursued active green space development alongside urban growth, but the absence of master's and doctoral programs in landscape architecture has left a steady demand for trained specialists unmet.
With the new departments in place, Inha University said it plans to pursue interdisciplinary research spanning urban design, landscape architecture, environmental studies and public space — grounded in Incheon's urban environment — while strengthening education focused on solving local challenges.
