Korea Population, Health and Welfare Association recruiting 40 fathers per city in Seoul, Daejeon and Busan with children aged 2 to 5
The Korea Population, Health and Welfare Association announced Wednesday it is accepting applications for its "2026 Visiting Fathering" program, designed to help fathers play a more positive role in parenting and build confidence in raising their children.
The Fathering program is a case-based education initiative aimed at deepening emotional bonds between fathers and their children and supporting healthy parenting practices. The association has run the program since 2023.
This year's edition will be held as in-person, one-day classes organized by region, with a focus on practical content fathers can apply directly at home — including parenting approaches tailored to a child's temperament, effective discipline and communication strategies, and age-appropriate play activities.
Before each session, participants will receive a personality and temperament assessment (TCI). After the class, online parenting coaching will be available to help reinforce what fathers learned and sustain the program's impact within the family.
The program is open to fathers raising children born between 2021 and 2024 — ages 2 to 5. A total of 120 spots are available, with 40 per city across Seoul, Daejeon and Busan. Applications are open through June 28.

"We hope this program gives fathers greater confidence in parenting and helps them build more positive relationships with their children."
