Named 'Test Winner' by ADAC
South Korean car seat brand Daiichi has earned the highest rating in a German car seat evaluation for its newborn car seat.
The company's Bliva Fix was named "Test Winner" in ADAC's spring 2026 car seat test, Daiichi said Wednesday.
ADAC, the Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club, is Germany's largest automobile association, with 21 million members. It publishes car seat evaluations twice a year, in May and October, assessing crash safety, installation stability, ease of use and the presence of harmful substances.
An Italian product by Foppapedretti, manufactured under OEM arrangements at the same factory as the Bliva Fix, also earned a winner designation. Both products are manufactured at facilities in China.
The test also included well-known brands such as Cybex, Britax and Bugaboo. Daiichi said the top rating demonstrated its competitiveness against global brands under identical evaluation conditions.
"The seat was recognized for both safety and real-world usability as an ISOFIX-based newborn car seat," the company said. "The design and quality of our shared production platform have been verified against international standards."
ISOFIX is the international standard for attaching car seats directly to a vehicle's seat structure, designed to improve installation ease and safety.
The car seat market has seen growing interest in modular and travel system designs, which link an infant carrier, a base and a toddler seat on a single platform for use across different stages of a child's development. Demand for newborn carriers has risen as parents increasingly use them interchangeably between vehicles and strollers.
"A car seat is the first travel space a child encounters and the first piece of safety equipment a parent prepares," a Daiichi official said. "Being named Test Winner is an objective recognition of the Bliva Fix's safety and quality."
