Gaonchips announced Thursday it has signed an ASIC semiconductor design and development contract with a global AI chipmaker.
The deal is valued at 29.6 billion won ($19.4 million), equivalent to 43.22 percent of the company's 2025 sales.
The contract runs through June 30, 2028.
The company said it would withhold disclosure of the counterparty's identity through Dec. 10 at the client's request to protect trade secrets.
