BTS Busan concerts prompt special immigration measures at four entry points

The Ministry of Justice has announced special immigration measures ahead of BTS concerts in Busan this weekend, with roughly 50,000 foreign fans expected to attend.

The ministry said the measures will run from Tuesday through Saturday, covering Incheon Airport, Gimpo Airport, Gimhae Airport and the Busan Immigration Office, to help fans from around the world clear immigration smoothly.

The ministry said it chose all four entry points to account for foreign visitors arriving not only through Incheon, Gimpo and Gimhae airports but also by sea through Busan Port. It plans to reinforce staffing by 140, 7, 8 and 3 officers at each location respectively, while monitoring conditions in real time to respond quickly to congestion.

Justice Minister Jeong Seong-ho said the ministry would concentrate personnel and equipment to ensure K-pop fans visiting South Korea experience fast and convenient immigration processing. He added that it aimed to support the local economy and enhance the country's image by making sure visitors encounter no difficulties at the border.
