'Yellow cards' with reflective safety features to be distributed to 31,000 lower-grade elementary school students
Lotteria signed an MOU with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on June 12 to promote safer traffic culture for children.
Under the agreement, Lotteria will produce "yellow cards" bearing the slogan "Please stop, a child is crossing" and distribute them to 31,000 lower-grade elementary school students. The yellow cards are reflective safety items designed to increase pedestrian visibility and can be attached to school bags to help drivers spot children more easily.
The company will also promote child traffic safety messages through in-store kiosks, the Lotte Eats app and Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency digital signage as part of the agency's "Seoul Traffic Re-Design" project. As part of the public-private partnership, Lotteria plans to visit elementary schools across Seoul to run traffic safety campaigns for children on their way to and from school.
"We hope this helps create an environment where children can commute to school more safely," a Lotte GRS official said. "We will continue to pursue a range of safety campaigns to fulfill our corporate social responsibility."
