Coway launches 2026 Icon Water Purifier 2 New Edition with expanded IoT customization

Coway announced Friday the launch of the 2026 Icon Water Purifier 2 New Edition, featuring enhanced IoT customization and an expanded color lineup.

The new model retains the compact size and hygiene performance of its predecessor while improving convenience and design. The original Icon Water Purifier 2, released in June 2022, is one of Coway's best-selling products, built around a slim design suited for narrow kitchen spaces.

The 2026 edition introduces updated temperature and volume controls through the IoCare+ app. Where the previous model offered only four fixed hot-water temperature settings — 45, 70, 85 and 100 degrees Celsius — the new version lets users set the temperature in 5-degree increments. The number of saved temperature presets has also grown from one to up to five.

Dispense volume settings have also been expanded. The previous model's "MY Volume" app feature allowed only a single preset volume, but the 2026 edition lets users configure up to three separate dispense amounts in addition to continuous dispensing. Each volume can be set in 10-milliliter increments between 120 milliliters and 1 liter.

The faucet is made from Tritan material and features a cartridge structure designed for easy detachment and cleaning, along with an automatic UV sterilization function that runs for 15 minutes every six hours.

A smart diagnostic function detects the purifier's condition and any abnormalities, providing voice alerts and allowing users to check device status through the app. The product also includes smart sensing capabilities that monitor filter and faucet replacement schedules and automatic cleaning cycles.

"The 2026 Icon Water Purifier 2 New Edition builds on the strengths of a best-seller while enhancing IoT-based customization and the color lineup," a Coway official said. "With app connectivity enabling precise control over temperature and volume, user satisfaction is expected to rise further."
