Yuhan-Kimberly launches hygienic diaper-changing mat for outings

Yuhan-Kimberly has launched the "Depend Moms Baby Hygiene Mat," a new product designed to make hygienic diaper changes easier when parents are out with their babies.

The mat was developed after the company analyzed consumer behavior and found that parents frequently worry about infection and hygiene when changing diapers away from home. Yuhan-Kimberly said it noticed that its senior care product, the "Depend Comfort Changing Mat," was already being used by parents for infant diaper changes. The company also confirmed that consumers are particularly sensitive to hygiene issues related to bedding contamination and diaper changes.

Given that the product is intended for childcare, it was developed with delicate baby skin in mind. The mat uses the same pulp as the Huggies diaper line and is entirely produced domestically. The company added that its soft inner material earned the top "Excellent" rating in skin irritation testing by Germany's Dermatest.

"We are reinterpreting an existing product for childcare use," the company said. "We expect this to create new demand in the diaper mat category."

With the new launch, the Depend brand has expanded its childcare lineup to include the hygiene mat alongside the "Moms Comfort Pants" and "Moms Comfort Pads," both considered postpartum care essentials.
