Scotland, making their first World Cup appearance in 28 years, claimed victory over Haiti in the group stage.
Scotland defeated Haiti 1-0 in their 2026 FIFA World Cup Group C opener at Boston Stadium in the United States on Sunday.
John McGinn broke the deadlock in the 28th minute, and Scotland held firm against Haiti's attempts on goal to maintain control for the rest of the match.
The clean-sheet victory earned Scotland three points, lifting them to the top of Group C ahead of Brazil and Morocco, who both drew their opening matches.
Scotland last qualified for the World Cup at France 1998, and Sunday's win was their first World Cup victory since Italy 1990 — a gap of 36 years.
