Gangbuk-gu Mayor-Elect Jung Chang-su Visits New District Office Construction Site and Other Key Facilities

Gangbuk-gu Mayor-Elect Jung Chang-su visited the Gangbuk General Sports Center, the Mia 3 Redevelopment Promotion Zone and the new district office construction site on June 12 to inspect operations and review the progress of key local projects.

The site visits were arranged so Jung could assess major public facilities and urban development projects closely tied to residents' daily lives, hear directly from relevant departments and on-site officials, and chart the direction of the district's administration going forward.

Starting at the Gangbuk General Sports Center, Jung proceeded to the Mia 3 Redevelopment Promotion Zone and then the new district office construction site. At each location, he received briefings from the departments in charge, toured the facilities and exchanged views with officials on key issues and areas for improvement.

At the Gangbuk General Sports Center, his first stop, Jung reviewed the facility's operations and inspected the ongoing swimming pool construction, receiving updates on the work schedule and future operating plans. He urged officials to spare no effort in managing the facility and advancing the construction so residents could use the sports center safely and comfortably.

At the Mia 3 Redevelopment Promotion Zone, Jung received a briefing on the project's progress and future plans and reviewed key tasks aimed at local development and improving the residential environment. Noting that urban redevelopment is a core issue for Gangbuk-gu, he said the district would expand the relevant organizations and personnel to actively support the project and strengthen administrative backing to ensure it proceeds swiftly and safely.

At his final stop, the new district office construction site, Jung received a progress report and toured the site. "The new district office is a critical piece of infrastructure that will meet Gangbuk-gu's future administrative needs," he said. "Thorough preparation and management are essential to ensure the project moves forward without a hitch."
