Pohang city in North Gyeongsang Province announced Monday it will hold the "2026 Pohang City Gender Equality Culture Contest."
The contest will run under the slogan "Pohang, a gender-equal city built together — gender equality woven into everyday life."
Residents of Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province — teenagers and adults alike — are eligible to enter individually or in teams of up to three.
Submissions must be visual content, including webtoons, card news and posters.
Participants are asked to create works that freely interpret the contest theme and submit them along with an application form, a personal information consent form and a participation pledge.
Entries must be submitted by email no later than 6 p.m. on Aug. 14.
A judging panel that includes outside experts will evaluate the submissions, with results to be announced Aug. 31.
Further details are available on the Pohang city government website under official notices and announcements.
Kim Shin, head of Pohang's welfare bureau, said he hopes the contest will give residents a natural opportunity to reflect on and practice the values of gender equality in their daily lives.
