Suwon certifies 30 city officials in public conflict management

Suwon has graduated 30 city officials from its Advanced Expert Course in Conflict Management, a training program developed in partnership with the Dispute Resolution Research Center under Dankook University's G-RISE project team.

The city held a completion ceremony Monday at Suwon City Hall, where the 30 participants received certificates of completion and official conflict management expert credentials.

The program is designed to deepen participants' understanding of the conflicts that arise during public policy implementation and to build practical skills for managing them.

First Vice Mayor Kim Hyun-su and Ka Sang-jun, a professor and director of the Dispute Resolution Research Center at Dankook University, attended the ceremony.

"Managing public conflict is a critical administrative task that directly affects residents' lives, which makes the ability to prevent disputes and facilitate cooperative resolution more important than ever," Kim said. He urged graduates to use the expertise and experience gained through the program to "lead the way in building an administration grounded in trust, communication and mutual cooperation between citizens and government."
