Eunpyeong-gu official Im Eun-gyeong promoted to Grade 4 director

Seoul's Eunpyeong-gu has promoted Im Eun-gyeong, head of the autonomous administration division, to Grade 4 director, effective July 1.

District Mayor Kim Mi-gyeong, who won a third term in the recent local elections, announced Monday that Im would be promoted to the Grade 4 position.

Im, who is set to take on the director role, graduated from Dongguk University with a degree in English literature and joined Eunpyeong-gu through the Grade 9 open recruitment examination in 1992. Over her career she has held key posts including press team leader, public relations division chief, Jeungsan-dong chief, planning and budget division chief and autonomous administration division chief — earning a reputation as a capable official respected by her junior colleagues.

The district also confirmed five officials for promotion to Grade 5 division chief, including Kim Dae-seong, team leader of the administrative support division.

Grade 4 promotion (administrative): Im Eun-gyeong (autonomous administration division).

Grade 5 promotions (administrative): Kim Dae-seong (administrative support division), Lee Gi-seon (civil affairs and passport division), Yun Jong-il (tax administration division), Jeong Chang-sik (safety management division) and Kim Byeong-hwan (Bulgwang 1-dong).
