A man in his 80s was stopped by police after attempting to join the ongoing "vote-counting center blockade" protest in Jamsil, now in its 16th consecutive day, while carrying a gas gun.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the man, identified only by his surname initial A, was caught by police around 12:40 p.m. Saturday near gates 1-3 of the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, as he tried to enter the rally with a gas gun.
Officers checked his firearms possession permit and sent him home.
