A suspected gas leak in the Wonchang-dong area of Incheon's Seo-gu has prompted emergency safety measures from authorities.
According to Seo-gu, a report came in at around 7:21 p.m. Saturday of a suspected hydrogen chloride gas leak at 55-5 Wonchang-dong.
Seo-gu issued an emergency safety text alert notifying residents of the incident and urged those in the surrounding area to take precautions.
Fire department units and relevant agencies have been dispatched to the scene to investigate the cause of the leak and assess the full extent of the damage, while safety measures are underway to prevent further harm.
