Renault Korea presents mobility collaboration ecosystem and innovation roadmap at NextRise; participates with 'Mobility Symphony' concept booth; signs MOU with Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development for global corporate collaboration program
Renault Korea announced Saturday that it operated an exhibition booth at NextRise 2026, Asia's largest technology and startup event, held at COEX in Seoul on June 18 and 19, showcasing its future mobility vision and innovative technology achievements through open innovation.
The company built its booth around the "Mobility Symphony" concept, offering visitors a hands-on experience with the beta version of its integrated AI technology, "AI Orchestrator," alongside a range of other mobility technologies. The AI Orchestrator — currently under development by Renault Korea's domestic research team — acts as an AI agent that integrates various vehicle functions to deliver personalized services to customers.
The booth also featured dedicated exhibition spaces for partners including Kakao Mobility, T Map Mobility, Smash Labs and Valeo. The Kakao Mobility zone displayed a "next-generation mobility concept car" applying Kakao Mobility's technologies to the Grand Koleos, with a live demonstration showing how the Kakao T taxi driver app can be used directly through the Grand Koleos' openR panorama screen without any external device. Renault Korea said it plans to explore further collaboration with Kakao Mobility going forward.
The T Map Mobility zone featured the world premiere of a "next-generation 3D navigation concept," which renders real driving environments in three dimensions to improve the visibility of traffic information. The technology is under development with a target commercialization date of 2027.
The Smash Labs zone offered visitors a chance to try "R:Rush," an AI-generated music-based rhythm game currently available on the Filante, while the Valeo zone let visitors experience "R:Racing," an augmented reality game that uses the vehicle's front camera, also currently available on the Filante.
Nicolas Paris, president of Renault Korea, visited the exhibition and said the company has been steadily expanding its partnerships with major domestic companies as well as startups with strong capabilities, all based on open innovation. "We will continue to build a stable and innovative collaborative ecosystem to lead future mobility, grounded in organic cooperation with our diverse partners," he said.
Renault Korea also used the event to present the Renault Group's open innovation strategic direction.
Nicolas Champtier, vice president of innovation at Renault Group, said the group is actively pursuing open innovation and broadening its partnerships under its recently announced "Future Ready" strategy, with the aim of becoming a leading company in European and global markets. "By combining Renault's technological capabilities with the innovative strengths of external partners, we will shorten the innovation cycle to within two years and bring vehicles equipped with the best technologies to customers more quickly," he said.
Regis Brignon, director of software and systems at Renault Korea, said the company has rapidly applied a range of advanced technologies and innovative services to the Grand Koleos and Filante through close collaboration with major domestic companies and startups. "We will continue to expand our horizontal partnerships to provide customers with an even more advanced vehicle experience," he said.
Meanwhile, Renault Korea signed an MOU with the Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development on June 19 for the operation of a global corporate collaboration program.
Under the agreement, the two sides will establish the terms necessary to operate the global corporate collaboration program and set out basic cooperation arrangements — including technology reviews and feasibility assessments — to support startups in developing their products and services and advancing their technologies.
