Event set for 2 p.m. July 13 at Seocho Culture and Arts Center's Art Hall, covering '2027 Housing Tax Outlook and Inheritance and Gift Tax Preparation'; Lee Jang-won of Rich Tax Corporation to lead lecture and on-site Q&A
Seocho-gu in Seoul will host a tax information seminar titled "2027 Housing Tax Outlook and Inheritance and Gift Tax Preparation" at 2 p.m. July 13 at the Art Hall of the Seocho Culture and Arts Center, the district announced.
The seminar was organized in response to growing public interest in capital gains tax and inheritance and gift tax amid a series of recent real estate policy changes. It aims to give residents accurate information on shifting real estate tax trends and help them navigate complex tax questions.
Lee Jang-won, chief tax accountant at Rich Tax Corporation, will lead the session. He is expected to cover key tax topics residents should know, including the 2027 housing tax outlook and strategies for preparing for inheritance and gift taxes, presented in an accessible format.
A live Q&A session will also be held, giving attendees the chance to put their tax questions directly to the expert.
Residents wishing to attend may register through the Seocho-gu district office website or by phone starting June 18 through to capacity, with seats available on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 600 people. For those unable to attend in person, a replay video and summary clip will be made available after the event through "Taxstation" — the district's tax information and consultation channel — and the Seocho-gu Tax Division's YouTube channel. For further details, residents may contact the Seocho-gu Tax Management Division.
"Housing taxes and inheritance and gift taxes are areas that touch residents' daily lives closely, so it is important to prepare in advance based on accurate information," Seocho-gu district mayor Jeon Seong-su said. "We will continue to provide a wide range of tax administration services to help residents better understand and prepare for complex tax matters."
