A fire broke out at a factory in the Pyeongdong industrial complex in Songchon-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, at around 2:08 p.m. Sunday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the fire department declared a Level 1 emergency response, mobilizing all personnel and equipment from the local fire station to fight the blaze.
Gwangsan-gu notified residents of the fire through emergency text alerts, urging them to take precautions. No casualties have been reported.
Authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire once it is extinguished.
