TFC opponent Grogue says he's 'thrilled' to face Korea's No. 1 fighter Jung

Mickael Grogue of France, set to face UFC veteran Jung Da-woon (Korean Top Team) in his homecoming bout, has shared his thoughts on the upcoming fight through the event organizer.

TFC 22, headlined by the heavyweight clash between Jung and Grogue, is scheduled for July 11 at Goodprime Sports Mall in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province. The card features eight bouts in total — three undercard bouts followed by five main card bouts starting after 6 p.m.

Jung competed in the UFC's light heavyweight division from 2019 to 2024, going 4-4-1. Grogue fought at heavyweight in the PFL — the world's second-ranked MMA organization — from 2024 to 2025, posting a 1-2 record.

TFC has produced 16 UFC fighters, both domestic and international. "It's an honor to have the opportunity to compete in an organization with such history and tradition," Grogue said. "I'm very excited to fight Jung Da-woon, the No. 1 fighter in South Korea." He added that he was not letting his guard down: "Since my opponent is Jung Da-woon, it will certainly be a tough fight."

The bout is a heavyweight matchup between veterans of the UFC and PFL — two of the sport's major organizations. It is a high-level MMA contest that is rare not only in South Korea but across Asia.

Jung carries a KO win rate of 73.3 percent, while Grogue's stands at 66.7 percent, making a knockout finish highly likely. "I will electrify the fans," Grogue said. "One of us — me or Jung Da-woon — will definitely go down, so don't miss it." He urged fans to attend in person or tune in to the live broadcast.

TFC 22 will be the first event held at TFC Dream Center, a dedicated MMA arena. The event will be streamed live on the YouTube channel TFC Korea MMA.
