Doosan Robotics unveils AI palletizing solution at North America's largest robotics show

Doosan Robotics is making the global debut of its AI-powered palletizing solution, PalletizHD+, at North America's largest automation and robotics exhibition.

The company said it is participating in Automate 2026, running Monday through Thursday in Chicago. The annual show draws more than 1,000 companies from around the world to showcase cutting-edge smart manufacturing solutions.

PalletizHD+, unveiled for the first time at the show, is built on PalletizOS — a palletizing-dedicated operating system developed in-house by Doosan Robotics — and integrates hardware, software and user applications into a single solution.

The system's core selling point is high-speed throughput. By combining AI-based pattern generation with Swift Move technology, which maps the optimal travel path before each task begins, PalletizHD+ can handle up to 11 boxes per minute. Depending on the task configuration, it can also move multiple boxes simultaneously.

Ease of use has also been improved. Operators can manage box information, pallet conditions, stacking patterns and system status from a single intuitive interface similar to a smartphone screen. When box and pallet parameters are entered, AI automatically generates the optimal stacking pattern.

Doosan Robotics will also showcase Scan&Go 2.0, an upgraded version of the solution it introduced at CES 2026 in January. The system equips a robotic arm with physics-informed AI and advanced 3D vision, enabling it to perform a variety of tasks autonomously. At Automate 2026, the company will demonstrate sanding and welding applications built on the platform.

Additional exhibits include an end-of-line (EOL) solution covering the full range of final production-line processes, as well as a robot education kit.

Kim Min-pyo, chief executive of Doosan Robotics, is attending the event and will introduce the new technologies directly to global customers. "This exhibition is an opportunity to present a lineup spanning palletizing, sanding, welding and EOL automation — demonstrating that Doosan Robotics is expanding beyond collaborative robot manufacturing into intelligent automation across entire production processes," Kim said.

He added that the company would "continue integrating AI into real work environments and expanding solutions that let customers immediately feel the difference in productivity and efficiency."

Meanwhile, Doosan Robotics merged its existing US subsidiary with Onexia late last year to launch a new American entity. Building on that foundation, the company is pursuing local facility expansion, increased production capacity and new hiring to strengthen its position in the North American robot solutions market.
