A single profile photo change by BTS member Jungkook was enough to set Netflix in motion, drawing wide attention online.
On June 20, Jungkook updated his personal Instagram profile picture to an image of the characters David and Lucy from the animated series "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners," instantly sparking excitement among fans around the world.
Netflix Brazil's official X account quickly responded, swapping its header image to a scene from "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" featuring David and Lucy sitting together and updating its bio to read "Jungkook Assistam Cyberpunk:Mercenarios. (Jungkook, watch Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.)" — a full-scale promotional push triggered by a single fan gesture.
Earlier, Jungkook had teared up during a personal live broadcast while watching the popular Netflix animated series "KPop Demon Hunters," telling viewers, "I cried watching 'KPop Demon Hunters'" and "I'm going to create my own soul door." He then rewatched with fans the scene of a character rushing onto a stage and the sacrifice of Jinwoo, who gives his life for Gumi — becoming so absorbed that he was moved to tears a second time.
Netflix marked the moment on its official X account, setting a screenshot of Jungkook crying as its header image and writing in its bio, "Jungkook watched Kpop Demon Hunters" — a move that underscored how far his influence reaches.
