Daniel Lindemann to become father three years after marriage: 'An angel has come to us'

German broadcaster Daniel Lindemann is expecting his first child, three years after his marriage.

On Monday, Lindemann posted on his social media: "Everyone, I'm going to be a dad." A video shared alongside the post showed his wife surprising him with the pregnancy news.

Caught off guard, Lindemann sank to the floor in shock before breaking into tears of joy and pulling his wife into an embrace.

"A precious angel has come to us," he said, adding that the baby's nickname is "Tori" — because the night before his wife told him she was pregnant, he had dreamed of carrying a cute hamster home in his arms.

He asked fans to "send lots of support so that my wife and Tori can stay healthy."

Lindemann first gained wide recognition in South Korea through the JTBC variety show "Non-Summit" in 2014 and went on to appear in other programs featuring foreign cast members, including "Where Is My Friend's Home" and "Dispatch from Abroad." He married a non-celebrity Korean woman in December 2023.
