Daegu city, Daegu FC to host public viewing event for South Korea's World Cup group-stage match

A public viewing event for South Korea's third 2026 FIFA World Cup group-stage match will be held in Daegu.

Daegu city and Daegu FC announced Tuesday that they will host a fan rally at Daegu iM Bank Park on June 25 at 10 a.m. to cheer on the South Korean national football team and bring citizens together. The event will coincide with South Korea's group-stage match against South Africa.

The match will be broadcast live on both the main and auxiliary scoreboards inside the stadium.

The cheering section will be located in the north stand (zones N1 through N5), with a maximum capacity of 2,500 people.

Admission is free, and gates will open one hour before kickoff. The parking lot will also be available at no charge until one hour after the match ends.

Concession stands inside the stadium will not operate on the day of the event. Outside food is permitted, but alcohol is prohibited for safety reasons.

"This third group-stage match is a crucial one that will determine the fate of the national team," Daegu FC CEO Jo Jong-su said. "We hope as many citizens as possible will come together and cheer on the Taeguk Warriors with one heart."
