LG Signature OLED W unveiled
Low-latency wireless transmission technology earns global certification
New LG Signature OLED T lineup also launched
LG Electronics retains No. 1 OLED market position in Q1
"Overwhelming leadership in premium TV to continue"
LG Electronics said Wednesday it is strengthening its premium TV lineup with new LG Signature OLED models, aiming to maintain its leadership in the OLED TV market on the strength of low-latency wireless transmission technology and an advanced AI processor.
The company is rolling out the next-generation wallpaper TV, the LG Signature OLED W, starting in South Korea before expanding to global markets. The 2026 model sits flush against the wall at under 0.9 cm thick — roughly the width of a pencil — with ultra-slim technology applied to every component, from the panel and power board to the mainboard and speakers.
The slim design is made possible by low-latency wireless transmission technology. The TV is the world's first to receive "True Wireless Low Latency Vision" certification from global testing and certification body TÜV Rheinland, enabling viewers to watch 4K content at a 165Hz refresh rate in real time without any loss of picture quality or signal delay.
The third-generation Alpha 11 AI processor powering the 2026 LG OLED TV lineup delivers neural processing unit (NPU) performance 5.6 times faster than its predecessor, maintaining picture quality even during rapid on-screen movement. A Dual Super Upscaling feature processes two AI upscaling operations simultaneously, converting low-resolution content to 4K quality.
The new model also features ultra-low reflection display technology, becoming the industry's first to receive "Reflection Free Premium" certification from global testing and certification body Intertek. The technology eliminates light reflected on the screen, cutting reflections to roughly half of previous levels while delivering perfect black and perfect color in any environment.
AI features on the latest LG TVs are designed to help customers enjoy a more personalized viewing experience. These include an AI concierge that analyzes individual preferences to suggest search keywords and tailored content, alongside AI Search, an AI chatbot, AI Customized Screen, AI Sound Wizard and Voice ID.
The LG Signature OLED W made its debut at CES 2026 earlier this year and drew widespread praise from major international technology media. TechRadar named it a "Best of CES" winner at the time. The TV is priced at 10.5 million won ($6,840) for the 77-inch model and 16 million won for the 83-inch model, based on the manufacturer's suggested retail price.
LG Electronics is also launching the T6, a new addition to the LG Signature OLED T lineup, in South Korea. The OLED T is the world's first wireless transparent TV; the previously released T4 won the CES Best Innovation Award at both CES 2024 and CES 2026.
The LG Signature OLED T is a 77-inch OLED TV that lets users switch between black screen and transparent screen modes with a remote control. In black screen mode, viewers can watch movies and play games in 4K. In transparent screen mode, the space behind the display remains visible, creating a sense of openness while delivering a visual experience akin to augmented reality.
The newly launched LG Signature OLED T incorporates the same wireless technology and third-generation Alpha 11 AI processor as the LG Signature OLED W. A dedicated home screen and content offerings built on LG's proprietary smart TV platform webOS further maximize the advantages of the transparent OLED display. The LG Signature OLED T is priced at 100 million won.
LG Electronics has held the top position in the global OLED TV market for 13 consecutive years through last year and plans to extend that dominance in 2026 with differentiated technology and innovative products. According to market research firm Omdia, LG Electronics ranked first in the global OLED TV market in the first quarter of this year with a 50.5 percent share by shipment volume and 47.7 percent by sales.
"The LG Signature OLED W and LG Signature OLED T are innovative products that embody the full breadth of LG TV's history of world firsts," said Park Hyung-sei, president and head of LG Electronics' Media Entertainment Solution division. "We will continue our overwhelming leadership in the premium TV market through technological innovation that only LG Electronics can deliver."
