15 pieces of 'Supergirl' comic artwork
available on Samsung Art Store through March next year
MicroRGB-powered 'Supergirl' experience events also held
Samsung Electronics announced Wednesday that it has formed a global partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios, unveiling a range of programs tied to "Supergirl," which opened in theaters worldwide that day.
Through the collaboration, Samsung Electronics is making a "Supergirl" collection available free of charge on the Samsung Art Store, its art subscription service exclusive to Samsung TVs. The collection comprises 15 pieces of "Supergirl" comic artwork spanning 1996 to 2026 and will be available on the Samsung Art Store through March 8 next year.
The Samsung Art Store uses Samsung Art TV display technology to faithfully reproduce the original works' colors and emotional impact. Through the collection, consumers can immerse themselves in DC Studios' superhero universe at home, beyond the theater.
Samsung also held experience events featuring the Samsung MicroRGB TV, which the company touts for its exceptional color reproduction.
Samsung Electronics showcased the Samsung MicroRGB TV at a "Supergirl"-themed pop-up store in Yeonnam-dong, Seoul, and at a press tour in Los Angeles, highlighting the MicroRGB technology and the immersive quality of its displays.
Samsung Electronics has also teamed up with electronics retailer Best Buy to screen "Supergirl" content on Samsung MicroRGB TV displays and run a related prize event at more than 600 participating stores across the United States through July 19.
At the "Supergirl Rest Stop" pop-up store held June 20 at Fonica Records in London, the company drew attention by recreating actual settings from the film — including Supergirl's bedroom, a spaceship, an intergalactic bus stop and a space bar — using 2026-model TVs and the latest home audio collection.
"Samsung is working with world-class entertainment partners to ensure that the stories in films do not stay on the screen but can be extended in a variety of ways," said Lee Heon, executive vice president of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business. "Through our collaboration with Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios, we hope audiences can experience the excitement and fun of 'Supergirl' vividly — not just in theaters, but in stores and at home as well."
