Dr. Doryan Ahn, MMC Global Organization sign strategic MOU
South Korea to become Northeast Asia hub for global economic cooperation
Second annual forum set for Bangkok in October, drawing participants from 100 countries
The MMC (Master Millionaire Club) Global Network expansion and the 2027 Global Economic Forum Annual Meeting will be held in South Korea next year.
With the third annual meeting as a milestone, South Korea has formally joined the MMC Global Network as its Northeast Asian hub, launching full-scale strategic cooperation.
Dr. Doryan Ahn, CEO of IRO Limited and chairman of MMC Global Club Korea, signed a strategic MOU with Jacky Ong, founder and chairman of MMC Global Organization, on June 19 at The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam in Bangkok, Thailand. The agreement aims to expand the MMC Global Network in South Korea and pursue hosting of the Global Economic Forum there.
The MOU goes beyond simple international exchange, laying the groundwork for connecting South Korea to an economic network that brings together global businesses, investors, government agencies and academics.
Under the agreement, both sides will work to establish a South Korean platform for the MMC Global Network and pursue hosting future Global Economic Forums in the country.
They also plan to jointly develop programs to build South Korea into a key Northeast Asian hub linking Asia to the global economy, supporting Korean companies' overseas expansion and attracting international investment.
MMC Global Organization is a global business network whose members include entrepreneurs, investors, government officials, international organization representatives and academic experts. It operates international investment forums, economic cooperation projects, business-matching programs and global leadership initiatives.
MMC is scheduled to hold the 2nd Global Economic Forum Annual Meeting Bangkok 2026 (GEF-AM-BKK 2026) from Oct. 10 to Oct. 14 at Grande Centre Point Lumphini in Bangkok, Thailand.
The event is expected to draw around 10,000 participants from more than 100 countries.
Government officials, corporate CEOs, investment institutions and international organization representatives will attend to discuss major global industries including tourism, healthcare, AI, smart cities, real estate, trade, geopolitics and investment in Southeast Asia.
During the Bangkok forum, Dr. Ahn also officially unveiled IRO (International Review & Rating Optimization), an AI-based global trust assessment platform.
IRO combines AI, evaluation by global experts and blockchain verification technology to objectively assess the credibility of companies and institutions.
The platform verifies trust — an increasingly critical factor in global market competitiveness — through data analysis, helping investors and buyers make informed decisions.
"The global economy has entered an era where connections are built on trust, not just product competitiveness," Dr. Ahn said. "We will combine MMC's global network with IRO's AI-based trust assessment technology to help Korean companies seize new growth opportunities in world markets."
Ong said South Korea is "an important global partner with strong innovative capacity and economic competitiveness," adding that he intends to expand the Global Economic Forum and international business network in South Korea to create a new model for Asian economic cooperation.
With the MOU making MMC Global Network's entry into South Korea more concrete, attention is turning to whether the Global Economic Forum Annual Meeting — planned for South Korea — can establish itself as a new platform for attracting overseas investment and expanding international cooperation for Korean businesses.
