All 12 sun-rain umbrellas sold online and tested by the Korea Consumer Agency met relevant quality and safety standards, the agency said Thursday.

The agency tested 12 models — 10 with blackout features and two standard models.

Blackout models blocked 99.9 percent of ultraviolet rays, while standard models blocked between 96.9 percent and 97.1 percent, with all products meeting the applicable standard of 85 percent or higher.

In terms of light-blocking performance, blackout models achieved a 100 percent rate. Among standard models, navy products reached 95.8 percent and gray products 87.4 percent.

Darker colors outperformed lighter ones in blocking light.

All products also met standards for water resistance — the ability to repel rain — and wet resistance, which measures how well a fabric sheds water droplets.

Safety criteria were likewise satisfied across all products, including resistance to discoloration from sunlight or water, component assembly strength, bending strength and structural integrity.

Product weight ranged from 121 grams to 311 grams depending on the number of ribs.

The agency said it plans to publish quality and safety information on lifestyle textile products through its consumer information platform "Consumer24" to help shoppers make informed purchasing decisions.
